As Medicaid undergoes rapid changes under H.R. 1 - One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), the speed of this policy change risks leaving behind the communities Medicaid aims to serve. When Policy Moves Fast, We Build Responsibly is a timely design convening that brings together innovators, policy implementers, and community voices to co-create a practical, people-centered solution. By focusing on Medicaid work requirement compliance, benefit continuity, equity measurement, and digital engagement, this convening ensures that Colorado’s response is not only compliant but also compassionate, effective, and scalable. This is a rare opportunity to build the tools that will shape how we ensure millions still access care, with intention and urgency.

How:

We are flipping the script on convening. Rather than listening to didactic talks from leaders, we believe the answers exist in the collective action and work that is possible if we convene our ecosystem. Join health, innovation, government, and non-profit leaders in a design-centered sprint to identify the problem and quickly move to solutions. 

Outcome of the day:  Co-create a problem statement and prototypes to address work requirement compliance, benefit navigation, equity challenges, and care access.
